Joe Casali Engineering, Inc. (JCE) was contracted by Anchor Subaru to prepare site development plans and documents associated with the new 40,000 square foot full-service Anchor Subaru Dealership, repurposing of the existing Anchor Subaru Dealership, and an addition to the existing Anchor Nissan Dealership. Proposed site improvements included new parking lots, grading and drainage, landscaping, utility services and a community Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS).
The complete treatment system included two (2) Advantex AX-100 pretreatment pods and a 16' x 160', four (4) zone Bottomless Sand Filter (BSF). In addition, the system was equipped with a Vericomm DAX-2 control panel and monitoring system in order to ensure an immediate response from the maintenance company. These components have been included to prevent degradation to the environment with regards to the private and public well setbacks and water table conditions.
Joe Casali Engineering, Inc. (JCE) was contracted by Dave’s Marketplace to provide professional civil engineering services to repair an existing, failing septic system for the Dave’s Marketplace located on Tower Hill Road in Wickford, Rhode Island. JCE and Atlantic Solutions (AS) worked with AquaTest to integrate Nibbler Technology to the treatment train of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) to further breakdown the facility’s high strength wastewater. Improvements included two (2) 7,000 gallon Nibbler treatment tanks, two (2) 3,000 gallon clarifier tanks, the relocation of the existing Advantex AX-100 pretreatment pods and fan unit, a shed to house the Nibbler controls and fan units, and remediation to the existing bottomless sand filter.
JCE’s responsibilities included preparing site plans and documents to file a Repair Application for the OWTS with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Office of Water Resources. JCE also provided Construction Phase Services.
Joe Casali Engineering, Inc. (JCE) was contracted by twelve (12) individual homeowners on Hog Island, Portsmith, RI. required to upgrade their existing cesspools in order to comply with the Rhode Island Cesspool Act of 2007. The Act required all cesspools within 200 feet of the coastline and/or a public well to be replaced with an Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) by January 1, 2014.
JCE’s responsibilities included preparing site development plans and documents for the proposed septic system repair design in accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Rules Establishing Minimum Standards Relating to Location, Design, Construction and Maintenance of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems. Permits were obtained from the RIDEM Office of Water Resources and the Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC). Other responsibilities included construction inspections and filing a Certificate of Conformance (COC) as required by the RIDEM.
